Rowan County comes alive during the spring and summer months. Our local events and attractions heat up for some of our most well known events in the region. If you're looking for something sweet, you'll want to catch Strawberry Season at Patterson Farm, or the well known Cheerwine Festival that takes place each May in Downtown Salisbury. For more niche interests you'll find the Firetruck Festival at the NC Transportation Museum, Hippie Fest at the Rowan County Fairgrounds, Jiggy with the Piggy BBQ Festival, Farmers Day in China Grove, Pops at the Post at the Bell Tower Green, Woodleaf Tomato Festival, and the nationally known Faith Fourth of July Celebration. After a warm southern summer, it's always nice to cool down during fall in Rowan County.
