Kannapolis Cannon Ballers:

The city is home to the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers minor league baseball team which is the Low-A of the Chicago White Socks. Games are played at Atrium Health Ballpark which is a destination in itself! The stadium sits adjacent to the world-renowned North Carolina Research Campus and along the new Downtown Kannapolis streetscape. The ballpark hosts annual events such as the Cannon Ballers Trees of Hope, but is also open to the public on non-game days to enjoy the playground, splash pad, walking trail around the concourse, and Boomer’s Bistro or the Outfield Bar.

Village Park:

Kannapolis is also home to the only double-decker carousel in North Carolina. The carousel can be found in Village Park alongside an amphitheater, walking trail, the Rotary Express train, a splash pad, playground, picnic shelters and open space. Each weekend throughout the summer, the park comes alive with the Kannapolis Summer Events Series; free family-friendly events that include live arts, concerts, movies and storytelling.

Downtown Kannapolis:

If you’re looking for nostalgia, the Gem Theatre, NC Music Hall of Fame and The Dale Trail offer historic experiences. Or, if you’re looking to do a little shopping, visit Downtown Kannapolis’ brand new streetscape complete with boutiques, ice cream and candy shops, a bookstore and more. While you’re there grab a drink at Old Armor Beer Company, Tipsy Hare Ciderworks or the Blind Fox. If you’re looking for a meal, chow down at classic What-A-Burger #10, Chophouse 101, Sabor Latin Street Grill or choose from plenty of other spots. Be sure to top it off with a treat from Decadence Popcorn, Eat Cakes Bakery or My Sister’s Place.

The North Carolina Music Hall of Fame:

The NC Music Hall of Fame recognizes, honors, preserves and promotes those from the "Old North State" who have made great contributions to American music. Inductees include artists such as Ben Folds, Bucky Covington, Chairmen of the Board, Charlie Daniels, Chris Daughtry, Clay Aiken, Fantasia, James Taylor, Kellie Pickler, The Avett Brothers and many more! A visit to the museum will include listening to music and watching videos from the greatest artists in North Carolina history via interactive displays throughout the museum, as well as memorabilia from some of today’s most well-known entertainers. The NC Hall of Fame provides an excellent experience to learn about the rich tradition of great music and influential artists from North Carolina
