East Spencer, NC
The Town of East Spencer is a family-oriented community that is filled with a history of the Southern Railway. Its original name was “Southern City” because of the significance of railway in the creation and development of the town.
Royal Giants Park:
The small town of East Spencer is proudly home to Royal Giants Park, and has a small but important segment of the Carolina Thread Trail. The segment connects the newly upgraded park to the community. Royal Giants Park was opened in 1978 after the land was donated by the Spencer Royal Giants Baseball Club. In 2019 they opened a community splash pads where families and social groups of all ages and economic backgrounds could come together to play. The splash pad is a zero-depth aquatic play pad complete with activity towers, a baseball mega soaker, a spray tunnel and plenty more! Additional upgrades are planned to take place at the park in the coming years. Learn more about Royal Giants Park and begin planning your next visit to Rowan County.
