You wouldn’t expect such a large celebration to come out of such a small town, however, Faith is known across the state for their annual 4th of July celebration. The celebration lasts over a week and draws in thousands of people from North Carolina and beyond every year. When visiting Rowan County for this year’s 4th of July, you won’t want to miss this original event. Here is a breakdown of their day-to-day schedule so you don’t miss a thing:

Faith isn’t the only town in our incredible county that knows how to celebrate. Spencerr and Kannapolis also have their annual 4th of July celebrations that you’ll want to check out during your visit.

The N.C. Transportation Museum is hosting their fourth annual fireworks event. It is free and open to the public at the Historic Spencer Shops. After museum buildings and exhibits close at 5 P.M., join them for a night of games, music, food and fireworks.

 

June 29

5:30 P.M. – Activities include a balloon twister artist, bubble show, DJ music, inflatables, children’s craft area, corn hole, and other lawn games

9:15 P.M. – Firework show begins

 

For a small fee, guests are invited to take a ride in a WWII era Dodge Weapons Carrier, as well as a ride on our turntable, the centerpiece of railroad operations at the largest remaining roundhouse in North America. So pack a blanket and some snacks and make your way out to the N.C. Transportation Museum!

 

Looking to make it an all-day trip?

The N.C. Transportation Museum is also hosting their Moving the Military Tour throughout the day where you and your family can discover military vehicles and equipment in the museum’s collection. During this guided tour, you’ll travel back in time as you learn the importance of the exhibits and how they played a role in military history. The tour is included in museum admission and will begin at the Barber Junction Visitors Center.

City Hall to Rowan Museum, Salisbury, N.C.

 

Come celebrate the 4th of July with Downtown Salisbury with a 4th of July Kids Parade! All downtown shops will be open for this hometown tradition and prizes will be given out to some of the best dressed individuals and best decorated vehicles!
