Faith 4th of July Celebration

You might be surprised to learn that one of North Carolina's largest Independence Day celebrations takes place in the small town of Faith, N.C. For 80 years, the Faith 4th of July Celebration has welcomed thousands of visitors for a week filled with live music, carnival rides, food vendors, family activities, patriotic traditions, and one of the region's most anticipated fireworks displays.
Festivities kick off June 28 and continue through July 4 with nightly entertainment featuring Rowan Big Band, The Embers, Legacy, Too Much Sylvia, The Swinging Medallions, The Tonez, and The Andy & Onida Band. Visitors can enjoy midway rides, classic fair food, games, community events, and a lively street dance on June 27 featuring Gary Lowder & Smokin' Hot.
The celebration reaches its grand finale on July 4 with the beloved Faith 4th of July Parade at 10 A.M. This year's Grand Marshals are the Faith American Legion Veterans. Following the parade, downtown Faith comes alive with food booths, entertainment, patriotic presentations, contests, and family fun throughout the day.
The evening wraps up with a packed lineup of activities including races and games, a hot dog eating contest, live music from The Andy & Onida Band, and a special performance of the National Anthem by The Voice Season 25 runner-up Josh Sanders. The celebration concludes with a spectacular fireworks show at 10:30 p.m. over Faith Academy Charter School Ballpark.

Fireworks Over Historic Spencer Shops

Celebrate Independence Day early with an evening of family fun at the N.C. Transportation Museum's annual Fireworks Over Historic Spencer Shops. Beginning at 6 P.M., guests can enjoy a variety of free family-friendly activities throughout the museum grounds before gathering for a spectacular fireworks display at 9:15 P.M. in front of the historic Bob Julian Roundhouse. This year's show is especially meaningful as it commemorates America's 250th anniversary.
A special highlight of the evening is a free performance by Letters From Home, a patriotic USO-style duo featuring tap dancing, comedy, powerful vocals, and an uplifting message of hope and patriotism. Their family-friendly show takes place from 7-8:05 P.M. in the south end of the Back Shop. Admission to the fireworks show and all related activities, including the Letters From Home performance, is free for guests.
For an unforgettable experience, purchase tickets for the Firecracker Express. This vintage train ride travels through the museum's 60-acre historic site aboard a passenger railcar pulled by a diesel locomotive. Along the route, riders will see the structures once used to service Southern Railway steam locomotives and can disembark at the Roundhouse for prime fireworks viewing. Firecracker Express tickets are available for an additional fee of $10 for adults, $9 for seniors (65+) and active military, $8 for children ages 3-12, and free for children under 3 and museum members, plus tax and ticket fee. Each passenger will also receive a patriotic souvenir.
Additional activities throughout the evening include balloon twisting, a patriotic stilt walker, a bubble show, inflatables, a bounce house, lawn games, model train layouts, a Maude the Mule scavenger hunt, DJ music, and the Ride of Pride trucks from Daimler Trucks North America's Cleveland plant.
Food vendors will be onsite with items available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for comfortable viewing. Coolers are welcome, but please note this is an alcohol-free event. Registered service animals are permitted; however, pets should be left at home.
Concert in the Park: Charlotte Symphony + Fireworks

Kick off your Independence Day celebrations with an evening of live music and fireworks at Village Park in Kannapolis. One of the city's most popular annual traditions, this free Concert in the Park features a performance by the renowned Charlotte Symphony, followed by a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the night sky.
Founded in 1932, the Charlotte Symphony is the oldest continuously operating symphony orchestra in the Carolinas and one of the premier music organizations in the Southeast. Under the direction of Music Director Kwamé Ryan, the orchestra performs for more than 150,000 music lovers each year through concerts, educational programs, and community initiatives across the region.

Kannapolis Cannon Ballers' July 4th Extravaganza

Celebrate Independence Day with an unforgettable evening of baseball, live music, and fireworks at Atrium Health Ballpark. The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers' July 4th Extravaganza promises fun for the whole family and features what organizers are calling the largest and most spectacular fireworks display in the region in honor of America's 250th anniversary.
The festivities begin at 6:30 P.M. as the Queen City Corndogs take on the Winston-Salem Disco Turkeys in a special Blue Ridge League matchup. Fans can enjoy all the excitement of summer baseball in one of the region's premier ballparks before the evening's entertainment continues off the field.
Adding to the celebration is a live concert presented by Pepsi featuring Garrett Huffman, the 2023 Carolina Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year. Known for his high-energy performances and engaging stage presence, Huffman will help keep the patriotic party going before the night concludes with a breathtaking fireworks spectacular.
