As one of the largest growers in the state, Patterson offers 200 acres of tomatoes, 45 acres of strawberries and 200 acres of peppers, muscadines and poinsettias. Patterson Farm is committed to educating children and adults about their food source, the importance of agriculture and specifically about the crops they grow at Patterson Farm. They accomplish this mission by providing educational opportunities which are designed to be educational, hands-on fun. Their passion extends to creating pick your own experiences and seasonal activities and events that create lasting family memories. Their market provides a venue where Patterson Farm, other local farmers and small business owners have an opportunity to sell their products to families, neighbors and visitors to Rowan County.

Their attractions are seemingly endless. Grab a friend, choose a feed sack to sit on, and climb up for a fast-moving ride down on Big Red’s Slide! Maneuver through the Spider Web and the Pallet Maze. Try your hand at the Music and the Mud Pie Area. Cook up something at the Farm to Table Area. Play “King of the Hill” on our Tractor Tire Mountain or Straw Bale Stack-Up. You will really “dig” the Sand Pit Area. Bring your lunch and enjoy a sheltered picnic area. Save room for dessert and indulge in some homemade ice creams or fancy milkshakes.

They'll keep you busy with more than 40 activities, the farm is an exciting play area for children and adults – as well as a great learning experience. Ride the Cow Train, try the Horsin’ Around Ranch or the Hula Hoop Horses, take a hayride, pan for gems at Gracie Graham’s Treasure Mine, or try Wall Ball, Corn Hole, Pumpkin Tether Ball, Farm Skeet Ball, Scarecrow Making, the Art Wall, and more. Keep going … there’s always more around the next turn.
