Camping at Dan Nicholas Park

Sample 2-3 Hour Itineraries
Families: Start at Rowan Wildlife Adventures, then try mini-golf or gem mining, and finish with a picnic at one of the covered shelters. If weather permits, the splash pad is a fun bonus.
Toddlers: Begin at the playgrounds, then ride Haden’s Carousel, and enjoy a short paddleboat trip on the lake. End with a quick snack at the concessions stand.

No, general park admission is free. Individual attractions like mini-golf, gem mining, paddleboats, and carousel rides have separate fees.
When is the park busiest?
Weekends, holidays, and festival days are the busiest. Arrive early for parking and shorter lines.
Are strollers and wheelchairs allowed?
Yes, most paths, playgrounds, and picnic areas are accessible.
Can I bring pets?
Dogs are allowed in designated areas but must be leashed. Pets are not allowed in the splash pad or wildlife areas.
What if it rains?
