Every fall, Downtown Salisbury comes alive with music, movement and unexpected moments during Buskers’ Bash, a celebration of the talented performers who bring the streets to life. From musicians and bands to dancers, aerialists and unique street artists, this annual event transforms downtown into an open-air stage where you never quite know what you’ll discover around the next corner.

What Is Buskers’ Bash?
A busker is a person who performs in a public space, and Buskers’ Bash celebrates that tradition by bringing talented performers directly to the sidewalks of Downtown Salisbury.
During the event, more than 10 acts perform throughout the downtown district in front of participating businesses. The lineup features an eclectic mix of entertainment, including bands, solo musicians, dance groups, aerialists and other street performers.
Rather than watching everything from one stage, visitors can wander from one performance to the next, creating their own evening of entertainment along the way.
Explore Downtown Salisbury One Performance at a Time
One of the things that makes Buskers’ Bash different from a traditional festival is the freedom to explore.
Grab a festival map from a participating downtown location, then follow the route through the district to find performances happening at different businesses. You might stop to listen to a musician, watch a dance performance or catch an aerialist before continuing down the street to see what’s next.
Along the way, take time to browse downtown shops, grab dinner or a drink, and enjoy the atmosphere of Salisbury after dark. With performances spread throughout the district, the evening becomes part concert, part downtown adventure.

Buskers’ Bash isn't just about watching the performances - visitors get to help decide which acts take home the prizes.
Guests receive guitar picks that can be used to vote for their favorite performers. Simply drop your picks into the performers' buckets as you make your way around downtown.
At the end of the evening, head to the Grand Finale location to find out which performers received the most votes and celebrate the winners.
