Colonial Spring Frolic
Rowan Museum’s Annual Colonial Spring Frolic is held each year to celebrate the arrival of the season at the Old Stone House. Celebrate spring the 18th century way and experience history at the Old Stone House. Take tours of the only remaining colonial home in Rowan County with guides in period costumes teaching visitors of all ages about the history of the property.
Get hands on with dyeing Easter eggs with natural dye and tastings. Join the fun by dancing, tasting breads, Plus, watch demonstrations of woodworking, weaving, spinning, candle making, open fire cooking and more. You’ll see animals, take treks to the creek and explore the family cemetery down through the woods on the property. Plus, New Sarum Brewing Company is always on site with an original beer brewed just for the occasional.
Adults will enjoy the atmosphere, and children will enjoy the activities and wide-open spaces at the Old Stone House.
