Spring has arrived in Rowan County, and there’s a brand-new way to celebrate the season at Patterson Farm in Mount Ulla, North Carolina. For the first time ever, the farm is welcoming visitors into colorful fields of blooming tulips for a Pick-Your-Own Tulip experience.
Guests are invited to stroll through rows of vibrant flowers, hand-select their favorite blooms, and create a fresh bouquet straight from the field. It’s a beautiful way to enjoy the outdoors, spend time with family and friends, and experience the simple joys of spring on the farm.

Visitors can wander through the tulip fields and pick their own flowers to take home. As you walk through the colorful rows, you’ll find thousands of tulips blooming across the field, creating a bright and cheerful spring landscape.
Whether you're planning a relaxing afternoon outdoors, looking for a unique spring outing, or hoping to capture a few colorful photos, the tulip fields offer a memorable way to enjoy the season.
The experience is perfect for families, couples, friend groups, and anyone who loves flowers and fresh air.
Tulips are $2 per stem and cut directly in the field, allowing guests to build their own custom bouquet to take home.

Admission to the Tulip Festival at Patterson Farm includes access to both the tulip field and many of the farm’s most popular spring attractions.

Guests who wish to visit only the tulip field can purchase a $5 admission ticket online, which provides access to the fields for viewing and photos.
Tulip stems are sold separately, and picking containers should be reserved with tickets when possible to guarantee availability.
Last field entry is 30 minutes prior to closing.
