AmeriFest 250 features an exciting lineup of live music with a mix of Americana, bluegrass, folk and patriotic performances.

The 208th Army Band - 3:00 PM

One of the U.S. Army Reserve’s premier musical organizations, The 208th Army Band delivers energetic performances ranging from ceremonial music to jazz, rock and concert band arrangements. Based in Concord, North Carolina, the band proudly represents the spirit and tradition of the United States Army.

 

His & Hers - 4:00 PM

This husband-and-wife Americana-grass duo from North Carolina blends folk and roots-inspired sounds with heartfelt songwriting. Known for albums like Come On In and Live at The Primavera Roadhouse, Volume 1, His & Hers brings a relaxed summer soundtrack perfect for an afternoon at the park.

 

The Local Boys - 5:45 PM

For more than 20 years, The Local Boys have carried on the tradition of bluegrass with influences from old-time, country and rock ’n’ roll music. Their lively performances have appeared at festivals including MerleFest and the Brushy Mountain Apple Festival.

 

Chatham Rabbits - 7:30 PM

North Carolina Americana duo Chatham Rabbits closes out the evening’s live music lineup with rich harmonies and authentic storytelling. Known for blending folk, country and old-time music, Sarah and Austin McCombie have built a dedicated following through albums like Be Real with Me and All I Want from You.

 

 

Don’t Miss the Drone Show Finale

End the night with a spectacular patriotic drone show presented by Open Sky Productions at 9:15 PM. Hundreds of illuminated drones will light up the sky with choreographed animations, patriotic imagery and dazzling formations in honor of America’s 250th birthday.

For the best viewing experience, bring a blanket or lawn chair and head toward the parking area near the playgrounds.

 

Remember: park entry closes at 8:00 PM, so plan ahead if you want to stay for the show.

 

 

Free Activities & Family Fun

AmeriFest 250 offers plenty of entertainment for visitors of all ages. Activities begin at 3:00 PM, with attractions opening at 4:00 PM.

Additional attractions include:

  • Paddle Boats - $2 per person for 30 minutes
  • Gem Mining Special - $2.50 buckets for the first 250 visitors

 

Most activities are free, though standard fees still apply for camping, fishing and select attractions.

Come hungry - food will be available from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
