Fall is made for cozy coffee runs, and Rowan County’s local coffee shops are celebrating the season with original creative sips inspired by pumpkin, apple, maple, caramel and more. From classic pumpkin spice lattes to inventive cold brews, chai, matcha and seasonal specialties, there are plenty of ways to savor fall one cup at a time. We’ve gathered some of the seasonal drinks being served around Rowan County this year to help you find your next favorite fall sip. This list is just the beginning, though - seasonal menus can change throughout the season, and not every local coffee shop is represented here.
M&K Trolley Espresso

Fall flavors are rolling into M&K Trolley Espresso with a seasonal menu made for cozy coffee breaks. Available through November 30, the fall lineup features both hot and iced drinks, including the Hello Pumpkin with pumpkin spice and caramel, Fall for Apple Pie, Salty Caramel, Maplelicious, Autumn Jubilee and Autumn Macchiato.

Sweet Swirls is serving up plenty of creative fall flavors, from the Pumpkin Cheesecake Latte with pumpkin syrup and maple cream cheese cold foam to the Greatest Pumpkin Frappe made with Biscoff cookie butter, pumpkin syrup and whipped cream.

The Pumpkin Spiced Chai adds espresso and pumpkin cold foam, while the Dirty Pumpkin puts a fall twist on cream soda with pumpkin syrup and French vanilla creamer. Other seasonal sips include a Matcha Latte with maple cold foam and a Cinnamon Roll Latte topped with cream cheese cold foam.
Beauty & the Bean

Beauty & the Bean is embracing cozy season with a lineup of fall-inspired drinks, including the Maple Macchiato, a maple-spiced latte topped with caramel drizzle, and the Sweater Weather Cold Brew with brown butter toffee cold foam.

Pumpkin Pie Chai brings vanilla chai together with pumpkin pie, whipped cream and cinnamon, while the Apple Cloud Nine Mocha combines iced white mocha with caramel apple butter cold foam. Other seasonal favorites include a Bonfire Mocha, Cinnamon Roll Matcha and Butter Pecan Latte.
Paty's Cafe

Fall flavors get a Latina twist at Paty’s Cafe, where six seasonal lattes put an original spin on classic autumn favorites. Warm up with a Caramel Pecan Latte topped with caramel cold foam and chopped pecans, or try the Dulce Pumpkin Latte, a cozy combination of dulce de leche and pumpkin spice. The Tres Leches Cinnamon Latte brings the flavors of tres leches cake to your coffee, complete with caramel drizzle and cinnamon.

For something extra indulgent, the S’mores Latte features graham crackers, marshmallow and chocolate, topped with marshmallows and a graham cracker. Pumpkin lovers can try the Pumpkin Cheesecake Latte, while the Cajeta Apple Pie combines apple pie flavors with dulce de leche cajeta and apple pie filling.
Aidiley's Coffee Stand

Fall flavors meet a countryside setting at Aidiley’s Coffee Stand, with seasonal sips like the Salted Caramel Pumpkin Cold Brew topped with pumpkin-spice cold foam and caramel drizzle, and the Backroad Blueberry Cold Brew with blueberry, vanilla, cookie butter and white chocolate. The Maple Road Shaken Espresso brings together real Vermont maple syrup, dark brown sugar and cinnamon, while the Harvest Moon Chai and Pumpkin Spice Latte offer their own cozy takes on fall favorites.

Common Ground

Common Ground is leaning into classic fall flavors with a seasonal lineup of cozy drinks. The Autumn Latte combines Irish cream, maple syrup and Common Ground espresso, while the Apple Picking Cold Brew pairs apple caramel syrup with cold brew, apple cold foam, caramel drizzle and cinnamon.

For a crisp, refreshing option, try the Apple-a-Day Shaken Espresso with apple and salted caramel, oat milk and cinnamon. Other seasonal favorites include the Maple Crisp Tea, hot or cold apple cider, Caramel Apple Latte and Pumpkin Spice Latte.
The Morning Glory
256 E. Main St., Rockwell, N.C.
The Morning Glory is bringing plenty of creative fall flavors to the menu this season. Espresso favorites include the Pumpkin Crisp Latte with pumpkin, cookie butter and macadamia nut, the Butter Me Up Latte with house-made brown butter and butternut syrup, and the Autumn Morning with maple walnut milk and cardamom. For something different, try the Bushel & Peck Gold Lotus with apple cider, orange cream and cinnamon sugar, or the Apple Fritter White Lotus with apple, desert pear and caramel drizzle.

Fall-inspired options also include the Sparkling Chai-der, made with iced chai and sparkling apple cider, and a Maple Apple Cider Slush that can be topped with caramel cream. Many options are also available sugar-free.
Local Patriot Roasting Company
139 West Ave., Kannapolis, N.C.
Local Patriot Roasting Company is leaning all the way into spooky season with a fall menu inspired by some familiar Halloween favorites. Sip on the Sanderson Sisters, made with pumpkin, spiced brown sugar and caramel drizzle, or try the Witches Brew pumpkin chai for a cozy seasonal pick-me-up. The Beetlejuice combines apple juice and spiced brown sugar, while the Haunt Mess brings together pumpkin and white mocha. For something a little different, try the Boo-Nana Bread with banana, brown sugar and cinnamon powder - and Local Patriot recommends adding pumpkin cold foam for an extra seasonal touch.

There’s also a special reason to stop by in October. Their Check Your Boo-Berries drink combines blueberry purée and real maple syrup with a latte, with proceeds benefiting the Savin Pairs Breast Cancer Glow Walk. It’s a seasonal sip with a little extra meaning behind it.
