In Rowan County, new experiences don’t just appear, they’re thoughtfully built through collaboration, vision, and a shared commitment to growth. The Rowan County Tourism Development Authority’s Tourism Development Fund exists to help turn those ideas into reality, supporting individuals, communities, and organizations as they imagine, plan, and bring to life new tourism assets that invite visitors in and encourage them to stay a little longer. These grants are designed to spark something new by fueling projects that increase visitation and expand what Rowan County has to offer (rather than maintaining what already exists). By partnering with both public and private efforts, the fund plays a supporting role in shaping destinations that feel authentic, vibrant, and lasting. Awards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis as funding allows, helping ensure that great ideas can move forward when the time is right.
