At the annual SmokeOut Rally at the Rowan County Farigrounds, you'll get to experience art, music, motorcycles, bike shows, motorcycle games, mini bike races, tankful exhibit and auction to benefit Rowan County Meals on Wheels.



September 15 & 16, 2023

Experience Rowan County's German history and culture through artisans, demonstrations, lectures, tours and plenty of German cuisine and beverages at this event presented by the Rowan Museum.


Rowan Creek Week

September 16-23, 2023

Creek Week is a week-long celebration of local waters throughout North Carolina. The Fifth Annual Rowan Creek Week will be held September 16-23, 2023. In conjunction with multiple environmental organizations and local municipal departments, Creek Week offers recreational, educational, and volunteer opportunities to allow everyone to enjoy and contribute to healthy waters in our area.


Antique Automobile Club of America Car Show

September 16, 2023

This show at the N.C. Transportation Museum will only feature AACA members’ vehicles, and the public is invited to see the awesome collection of Detroit steel on display. The show features antique cars of all makes and models.


Leopardpalooza at Tiger World

September 16, 2023

Help save wild Javan Leopards with Tiger World's annual fundraising event on Saturday, September 16, to help raise money. All the day's proceeds will be donated to their conservation partner, the Wanicare Foundation at CIKANANGA Wildlife Rescue Center. The day will have local food and Wine vendors, interactive education stations, Animal Interactions, Feed-A-Carnivore, and specialized merchandise promoting the event.


Summer Riff's Concert at the Bell Tower Green

Next on the Bell Tower Green stage - Furia Tropikal! Furia Tropikal was born in the small Latino-populated community of Union City, NJ. Their band started performing at family parties, local restaurants, weddings, and company events. Eventually, it grew into performing at major festivals around the East Coast. Come enjoy this next Summer Riff's concert presented by Salisbury Parks & Recreation.

September 18-23, 2023
