Nothing completes a trip to Rowan County better than a local dining experience. We've set out to highlight a few of the many local restaurants that make our destination an original place to visit and eat. We’ve created a series of some of our many favorite original restaurants in Rowan County. Up next, Carpe Vinum 121.

Carpe Vinum 121 is one of Downtown Salisbury's newest restaurants. They offer a bistro with an unpretentious fine dining experience, an extensive wine and spirits collection, and the highest quality charcuterie, seafood and dry-aged prime beef, served in an elegant French Bistro-inspired setting, in the heart of historic Downtown Salisbury. Their menu offers Classic French and Mediterranean inspired dishes made with the highest quality and freshest ingredients available.

The restaurant is the vision of co-owners Carrie and Paul Bardinas come to life. Inspired by their travels, the Wine Bar, Bistro and Raw Bar is the realization of their dream of sharing their love of music, art, food, and fine wine with the residents of Salisbury, North Carolina. Nestled in the heart of the city’s historic downtown, the 19th-century building’s brick architecture is the background for the bar and dining area. The space has been tastefully renovated with a French Bistro flair, allowing guests an intimate wine and dine experience. The venue also offers outside seating in the private Charleston-inspired courtyard. They provide the opportunity to enjoy the best of fine dining without the pretension against an inviting backdrop of exposed brick, French art, and the sounds of jazz music.

You can find Carpe Vinum 121 at 121 South Main Street in Downtown Salisbury. Their hours are Tuesday through Thursday 4:30 - 11 p.m., Friday 4:30 - midnight and Saturday 11:30 a.m. - midnight. You can also find them on Instagram and Facebook.
