We Built This: Profiles of Black Architects and Builders in North Carolina Exhibit

We Built This celebrates the history and legacy of Black builders and craftspeople in North Carolina. Spanning more than three centuries, the exhibit provides more than two dozen personal profiles and historic context on key topics including slavery and Reconstruction; the founding of HBCUs and Black churches; Jim Crow and segregation; and the rise of Black civic leaders and professionals.

Each and every Tuesday, the Rowan County Fairgrounds open their gates to friends & families alike for an evening full of food truck varieties. Gates open at 4:30pm close at 8:30pm. Social progress, like scientific progress, can be hard to see when one is trapped among earthly complications; Henrietta Leavitt and her female peers believe in both, and their dedication changed the way we understand both the heavens and Earth.

The Salisbury Symphony Presents: "Stars & Space"
