APRIL 1-2 | Tractors & Trains 9am-3pm: Join the N.C. Transportation Museum to see modern tractors, antique farm equipment and farm life demonstrations. You can also enjoy time with family listening to music and taking hayrides. Psst… We also heard there is a parade of tractors planned for April 2nd at 3pm that you won’t want to miss!
April 2 | Colonial Spring Frolic 10am-5pm: Come join the Rowan Museum in celebrating spring the 18th century way! Dye Easter Eggs with colonial dyes, play games, dance, and enjoy tasting some colonial recipes!
APRIL 3 & 24 | Sounds of Salisbury Spring Concert Series 3-5pm: If you haven’t made it out to the Bell Tower Green yet, this would be the best day to do so this April! Grab some food or pack a picnic, bring a lawn chair and join some family and friends on the Bell Tower Green to hear some great local musicians.
APRIL 8-10 | Ruthless! The Musical 7:30pm: Billed as “The Stage Mother of All Musicals” for its 2015 lighting-paced Off-Broadway revival, this award-winning musical send-up of stage classics like Gyspy and Mame, and cult films like The Bad Seed and All About Eve, follows sociopathic child-actor Tina Denmark, who will do anything to win the part in her school musical...ANYTHING.
APRIL 9 | Touch a Truck 10am-1pm: Join the Salisbury Parks & Recreation Department for an EXCITING afternoon of EXPLORATION and EDUCATION on WHEELS! Their Touch a Truck event allows you to have a hands-on experience with a wide variety of vehicles while you learn about the essential jobs that they do. You will find anything from tractors to concrete mixers to a wide variety of emergency vehicles.
APRIL 10 | Hurley Park Spring Celebration 2-4pm: Grab your family and come celebrate the arrival of spring at Hurley Park! You and your family can enjoy the Salisbury Swing Band, Carriage Rides, Snacks, Outdoor Activities, Bubble Circus and much more!
APRIL 16 | Gold Hill Rail Trail History Hike 9:30am: Enjoy a leisurely hike on the Gold Hill Rail Trail and hear the history and stories of the once famous 19th century gold mining boom town. The three-mile hike traces the narrow-gauge rail line, old mining roads and greenways through Gold Hill Mines Historic Park. Historic sights and landmarks include the original ancient Chilean Ore Mill, Mine shafts, 1840's Powder House (black powder and dynamite storage facility) and more.
APRIL 22 | Dessert Pops! Presented by the Salisbury Symphony 7:30pm: Calling all symphony supporters! The Salisbury Symphony is presenting a show featuring some of your favorite orchestral selections. The show is comprised of many well-known pieces, so you and your friends and family will not want to miss this performance!
APRIL 30 | April in Paris 2-6pm: If you’re looking for a reason to get dressed up, April in Paris is a great event to put on your radar. April in Paris will feature the Salisbury Symphony Big Band, French cuisine, specially crafted cocktails, croquet on the lawn, picturesque views and memorable moments.
