MAY 1 | Piedmont Players presents “The Savannah Sipping Society” 2:30 P.M.: In this delightful, laugh-a-minute comedy, four unique Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by Fate—and an impromptu happy hour—and decide it’s high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years.
MAY 1, 12 & 15| Kannapolis Summer Concert Series: Discover Fun in Kannapolis this summer with an incredible lineup of great concerts, movies, and of course, fireworks. Events will be held from April to August. All events are free to the public.
MAY 12 | Whimsical Fused Glass with Jody Danner Walker 6 – 9 P.M.: Get your whimsy on with this introduction to fused glass art. You'll be using stringers, dots, curves, and scraps of glass to create your unique piece of glass art. No experience required, just your creativity!
MAY 13 | Artist Salon with Daniel Skidmore 6 – 9 P.M.: Join the Salisbury Symphony in hosting Salisbury Symphony Concertmaster Daniel Skidmore and pianist Mary Ann Bills for an intimate evening full of fun treats, specialty cocktails, and beautiful music.
MAY 13-14 | Salisbury-Rowan Quilters’ Guild Quilt Show 10 A.M. – 5:30 P.M.: This biennial quilt show celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Salisbury-Rowan Quilters' Guild with a two-day quilt making and quilt appreciating experience. With over 150 door prizes, you’ll have a great chance of winning just by walking in the door!
MAY 14 | Waterworks' Free Family Fun Day 10 A.M. – 12 P.M.: Grab a friend and come on out to Waterworks. Just bring your imagination - we’ll supply the rest!
MAY 19 | Where Childhood Ends – Henderson Independent High School Poetry + Art Show 6 – 7 P.M.: Come join the Center for Faith & the Arts for this powerful, moving poetry event! The show is based off Shel Silverstein's book "Where the Sidewalk Ends," and will feature monologues written and performed by students. The student's artwork will also be on display for you to see/purchase.
