June 3 | Wine About Winter in Tank Tops & Flip Flops

Enjoy the springtime with wine, wandering and shopping in Downtown Salisbury. Downtown Salisbury’s signature wine tasting event, Wine About Winter, takes place throughout downtown in our bars, restaurants, specialty shops and boutiques on Friday, June 3, 2022.

 

June 4 | 4th Annual Rowan Arts & Ag Farm Tour

It’s a beautiful time of year on the farms of Rowan County, and the Rowan Arts & Ag Farm Tour offers a rare chance to see it all firsthand. In a unique combination of the county’s rich farm heritage and vibrant arts culture, visitors will learn about local farms and find working artists exhibiting their talent.

 

June 4 | Candlelight Orchestra: A Tribute to The Greatest Showman and More!

With over a thousand flickering candles illuminating the performers, Candlelight Orchestra will be paying tribute to the powerful music of The Greatest Showman and more over the course of 60 mesmerizing minutes.

 

June 4 | Pops at the Post

Pops at the Post is a free community event, featuring a performance by the Salisbury-Rowan Symphony, led by Maestro David Hagy. The concert will be held at the Bell Tower Green on the first Saturday of June!

 

June 4, 5, 9, 19, & 25 | Kannapolis Summer Concert Series

Discover Fun in Kannapolis returns this summer with an incredible lineup of great concerts, movies, and of course, fireworks. Events will be held from April to August. All events are free to the public.

 

June 10 – 12 | Race to the Dan Revolutionary War Reenactment

241 years ago the Revolution raged across the North Carolina Piedmont. Come out to the Old Stone House on June 10 - 12 to experience the events of early 1781, learn how decisions made in our area led to the eventual British surrender at Yorktown, and walk in the footsteps of our Revolutionary War ancestors.

 

June 11 | RAD Carolina

Break out your high-top sneakers or boots, tease up your hair, get decked out in neon or plaid, and take a trip “back in time” to the 1980’s and 1990’s. Relive those glory years at RAD Carolina, where we will celebrate everything 80’s and 90’s, including your favorite cars and trucks from these decades.


June 18 | China Grove Roller Mill Tour

For over one hundred years, the China Grove Roller Mill was in continuous operation and was a meeting place for the agricultural community surrounding the town of China Grove. Farmers came to sell their grain for flour and corn meal production, to purchase farm necessities, and to socialize. When visitors enter the roller mill, they are transported to an earlier time. Come check out the mill for yourself in this original tour.

 

June 18 | Fire Truck Festival

Come meet firefighters from across the state, get a close-up look at the equipment they use, vote for your favorite fire truck, and enjoy a fun family day at the North Carolina Transportation Museum. After the show, enjoy the parade which begins at 3 p.m. During your visit, enjoy activities and train rides throughout the day.

 

June 18 & 19 | Juneteenth Celebration

Join us Saturday, June 18 for the annual Juneteenth Celebration from Noon to 5 p.m. at Bell Tower Green in Downtown Salisbury. This community event celebrates Juneteenth with music, vendors, children’s activities, and more. This year’s theme is “Celebrating our legacy, Cultivating our future.”

 

June 23 | History on Tap

This series will take place exclusively on the last Thursday during the H.O.T. summer months of June, July, and August, where we invite you to cool off by sampling fresh brews while exploring Rowan County's fantastic historic places and spaces.

 

June 25 | Salisbury Pride’s Annual Pride Festival

Come out and watch all your favorite entertainers on the stage, enjoy great food, check out the vendor booths, and catch up with people you haven't seen in years!
