N.C. Transportation Museum in Spencer is hosting Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge, a traveling exhibit from the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources January 16 - March 29, 2020. The exhibit commemorates Blackbeard's notorious adventures along the North Carolina Coast and provides an amazing look into the past with weaponry, nautical tools and personal items recovered from Blackbeard's flagship, the Queen Anne's Revenge.

The exhibit includes interactive displays, quizzes and props that tell the story of Blackbeard, hands on kids activities like pirate dress up, photo stations, and more. Create your own pirate flag and learn how to tie nautical knots. Plus, bell ringing activities show how pirates regulated their day, announcing changes of watch, mealtimes, prayers and danger. Learn more on the museum's website.

The exhibit is included in the regular museum admission, allowing you to spend the entire day exploring the N.C. Transportation Museum's exhibits spanning decades of transportation, taking a train ride around the museum's 60-acre property and so much more. Learn more on the museum's website.
